He’s this super cool Lebanese writer and poet who’s inspired millions around the world with his words. And guess what? The Edmonton Gibran Khalil Gibran Foundation and Councillor Karen Principe are teaming up with the city to honor him in our very own neighborhood! They want to name a park after him right here in Beaumaris. Imagine that, a park inspired by such a legendary figure! But hey, they want to hear from us too! They’re holding a special community conversation where we can all share our thoughts and ideas about this project. It’s happening on Thursday, April 18th, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Lorelel-Beaumaris Community League. Plus, there will be some light refreshments to enjoy while we chat.
