When did you start your business? Was there something/someone who inspired you?

I started my cleaning company, Clean 2 Shine Cleaning, in 2018.  We focus on residential and janitorial cleaning. I had been working a minimum wage full-time job that was not providing enough to pay my rent. Someone from our community suggested that I start my own business/company. What did I know about starting a business or what kind to open? NOTHING! I started investigating, and came up with what I like to do most and what I am passionate about: Cleaning and providing a welcoming and spotless environment!

Would you say you reached all of your goals since you started or do you have more to achieve?

I thought I would give starting my own business a try, and it has created so many opportunities. From being a minimum wage employee to then running my own company was a big change. At the same time, I was also becoming an operations manager for a much bigger cleaning company, Miraculous Maids. I can happily say that my business is escalating, and I have faith it is going to get much better.

Who is your target market or potential customers?

I want to be able to help everyone in our society. Whether it is a busy mother, a single guy, an elderly couple, a person with disabilities, a busy company, and much more. Every person and business have their own individual story and needs.

Tell us more about yourself (family, background, education etc.)

I was born in London, Ontario, and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and Lebanon. I lived in Colombia for 16 years and decided to come back to Canada in 2015 for a better education and future for my four children. Speaking three languages (English, Arabic, and Spanish) has helped my business and myself grow and reach more diverse clients.
