When did you start your business? Was there something/someone who inspired you?
I started trading in real estate in February of 2018, but started by working for a builder in the Spring of 2017. The inspiration came from wanting to help people find and cherish the home of their dreams, whether it s move-in ready or a home that needed TLC of a specific individual.
The best part about the whole process of helping people buy or sell their home is seeing the smile on their face when it is all done!

Would you say you reached all of your goals since you started or do you have more to achieve?
I feel that I have reached a few, however, their is always room to improve and push yourself to do better.
What are the ups and downs when dealing with the Arab community?
Being a 1st generation Canadian born Arab, you can see and feel the emotions when helping someone with the same cultural background as you.
When walking through prospect homes, it is sometimes nice to feel exactly what the client is looking for, as I would be looking for the same in my home.
What would you change if you had to do it all over again?
If there is one thing I could do differently, it is that I would have pushed myself a bit more to stay consistent with my day-to-day operations from the beginning.
I have learned so much over the past year regarding time management and other little tools/tricks to help with the ever changing demand of real estate.

What challenges has Covid-19 brought to you and your business and how did you overcome them?
One major aspect that seemed to change a bit was virtual showings. In this day and age and post-COVID, we had to learn how to show homes virtually. To me, you won’t be able to gain the true value and potentially what a specific house can mean to the client if they can not physically walk through it.
Buying a home is the biggest investment for a lot of people, and walking through it at least 2 or 3 times before deciding to go with it is an absolute must. Virtual tours are a big help, however, actually walking through it is a must if you are going to purchase a home.
