When did you start your business? Was there something/someone who inspired you?

I established Kid Fit July of 2020, and ran my first Kid Fit class in August. Growing up with an athletic background encouraged me to pursue my career as a personal fitness trainer. My biggest inspiration is to help motivate and inspire physical activity in my clients lives.

Would you say you reached all of your goals since you started or do you have more to achieve?

I am proud of what I have accomplished so far. However, I still have many goals to achieve and I look forward to tackling them. I believe for an individual or a business to grow they must continue to set new goals.

What are the ups and downs when dealing with the Arab community?

The Arab community shows endless support which motivates an entrepreneur. Establishing Kid Fit I did not have a doubt that my community would be so supportive.

What would you change if you had to do it all over again?

I would not change anything if I had to do it all again. I am fulfilled with my progress and I look forward to grow with my brand!

What challenges has Covid-19 brought to you and your business and how did you overcome them?

I started Kid Fit during the times of Covid-19, therefore, there have been many challenges I have had to face. Running the sessions outdoors were significantly easier than running them indoors, allowing more clients in a class and social distancing was a lot easier.

I overcame these challenges by making sure I had limited clients in my classes and offering more than one time slot. Due to Covid restrictions I haven’t had the chance to move forward and fulfill many of my goals the way that I had planned.

To stay connected with my young clients and their parents I share things such as at home workouts, activites, and healthy recipes on Instagram @kidfit.yeg!
