Hike for Hope is an initiative aimed at joining leisure with a good cause. We will be asking all participants to support our Olive Tree planting program in Palestine, where it costs $10 to plant one Olive Tree.

Crowdfunding

Once registered, you will receive a Crowd-funding Link to start fundraising for Palestine! Each participant is required to raise a minimum of $100 in order to participate. Olive trees are a universal symbol of peace and a powerful symbol of Palestinian rootedness in their land. The average lifespan of an olive tree is 300-600 years, but some can live as long as 3,000 years. There are many meanings of the olive tree. It is a symbol of friendship and reconciliation, cleansing and healing, light, victory and richness and, above all, a sign of peace. It is a plant which should be treated with reverence as it is a blessed tree and so is its fruits. Your fundraising efforts will be helping to maintain this national treasure. Olives and olive oil have historically formed the main basis for Palestinian livelihoods. Today 48 percent of agricultural land (mostly in the West Bank) is planted with olive trees. Thank you for supporting this great cause!
